New fund manager tool tracks real-time data

We love to hear from our customers about how they are using our financial data, but we were particularly impressed with the sophisticated new investment research tool developed by Benchmark Metrics that lets portfolio research managers detect, measure, and respond in real time to changing financial data.

Insight FSATM (Financial Statement Analysis) is a web-based tool that uses a methodology developed by UCLA accounting expert Eric Sussman. It automatically and instantly reviews twelve key financial indicators for a single company, or group of companies in a portfolio, using thirty-seven fundamental financial analysis metrics. Relative Risk Ratings (R-3s), which quantify the downside risk associated with corporate financial performance, are calculated for each performance area and metric. Results are conveyed in eight graphical output reports that provide visual alerts to financial irregularities and early warning signs of potential accounting manipulation are identified well in advance of deteriorating market performance.
